A documentary based on Unplanned (Tyndale House Publishers) by former Planned Parenthood Clinic Director Abby Johnson and the latest DVD in the "Torchlighters, Heroes of the Faith" series have won commendations from the International Christian Visual Media (ICVM) group.

Unplanned took first place for best Documentary Over $50,000. The Amy Carmichael Story—the eighth in the popular "Torchlighters" series (Vision Video)—won first place in the organization's Best Children's Film and Best Evangelistic categories of its 2011 awards and a second spot for best Documentary Under $50,000, and third place for Best Youth Film.

Most of the "Torchlighters" titles have also won awards, including The Jim Elliot Story, The William Tyndale Story, The Eric Liddell Story, The Gladys Aylward Story and The Perpetua Story. Having sold more than 150,000 units, the series is available in some Christian bookstores. The next DVD, The William Booth Story—which tells the beginning of the Salvation Army—is to be released by Vision Video in November.
