Swanson Christian Products (SCP) is marking its 75th anniversary in 2010 as one of the oldest gift suppliers in the industry.

Founded in 1935 by Clifford Swanson, the company is run today by his grandson, Adam Swanson, but has been owned since 2004 by Victory Christian Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn., where the younger Swanson is pastor. Through the years, the not-for-profit company has channeled proceeds into missions efforts at home and abroad, recently funding the delivery of 30,000 Bibles into China.

SCP, which has a 50,000-square-foot warehouse as well as manufacturing and office space, offers more than 4,000 products through catalogs, its Web site and events and exhibits. As part of the company's anniversary celebration, SCP is offering a 75% discount on more than 60 products available through the company's January 2010 catalog.

"We want to thank all of our customers, retail partners and supplier relationships for their part in helping our ministry reach 75 years of service," said John McKinney, director of operations. "We look forward to partnering with them for many years to come."
