DiCianni art ministers 'powerfully' at California store

Jeff Lethin, co-owner with his wife, Carol, of Promise Land Christian Books in Temecula, Calif., reports on how the art of Ron DiCianni of Tapestry Productions has ministered to customers. According to Tapestry, Promise Land recently sold more than $1,000 retail worth of product in 15 days.

"Tapestry prints, most by artist Ron DiCianni, are by far one of the most powerful tools in our store for touching God's wounded, needy and generally hungry people.

"We set up an alcove in our store, and some of the people that come in the store just stand there weeping. Sometimes they just sit down Indian-style for a length of time before the prints. You can see that the Holy Spirit is really touching them in a powerful way.

"One of the things that Carol and I have witnessed with having the section dedicated to Ron's artwork is how impacting the prints are. It's not just canvas-it's anointed. When someone comes in, I've seen God use the prints to touch their life in dramatic ways-both mature and young Christians. Sometimes groups of people will come in, and one person will stop and separate from the group and come and just weep before the prints. Not only is it a blessing to have the artwork there, but it's incredible to see God use something in our store to touch someone this powerfully.

"I was thinking, 'Where are the influenced areas of our store?' We have this seating area midway between the artwork and the Bibles. Those are the two areas where we see the most ministry happen. So many people, as they're sitting in the store, see the section where Tapestry prints are and are drawn to get up out of their chair and go to that section.

"In the Wilderness is one of my favorites, but we had a puzzle of Ron's painting showing a woman being forgiven by Christ. As we put it out, this woman walked in and picked it up and started crying. She desperately wanted a print of it, but it wasn't in the catalog. I called Grant at Tapestry, and they made one special for us in less than a week. This woman still comes up to us at church months later and tells us, weeping, what a powerful impact this made on her life. And for anyone who has had a chance to meet Ron and have him pray for you, you know that this is just an outpouring of what God has put on his heart-the desire to touch lives for Christ.

"This artwork and dedicated prayer has blessed us to be used by the Lord to help establish the kingdom of God in our community. The guys at Tapestry have a heart to touch the lost and the broken. If you give them some time, they help you set up and design a program that will meet the needs of your community. These prints are communication tools for the lost and the wounded.

"There is nothing in our store that compares to the impact of Ron DiCianni's artwork. We have other art or wall décor pieces in the store, but we haven't had the fruit of seeing God use those other pieces the way that He's used Ron's artwork."
