1Eighty-NewWomensClassicCalifornia’s 1 Eighty Apparel proclaims the gospel through high-end T-shirts.

Owned by Kevin Sumner and his wife, Sue, 1 Eighty was launched in 2004. Kevin Sumner did his own informal market research by asking Christians why they weren’t wearing Christian-themed apparel. What he found was that consumers ages 18 to 50 weren’t finding the quality, colors and designs they wanted in Christian T-shirts.

Greeting Card Association hires new management Print Email

GCAThe Greeting Card Association (GCA) has hired Bostrom Corp. as its new association management firm. Bostrom, an 80-year-old professional-services company with offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C., will assume management of GCA in July from GLM, which has managed GCA since 2010.

GLM is relinquishing management of GCA in order to focus on its core competencies as a producer of events and tradeshows—including the National Stationery Show (NSS) and NY NOW—and to resume its longtime role as an active member of GCA.

The Murfreesboro, Tenn.-based distributor added five new puzzles to its existing line of six designs. Each wooden puzzle offers Bible-centered themes with screen-printed graphics on wood-based materials.

Anyone connected with the Christian retailing industry—including authors, editors, literary agents and distributors—is invited to vote up until midnight March 31 for what they think are the best products in the Christian retail market.

Suppliers and authors have nominated 2012 gifts and other products—books, Bibles, music, DVDs, children’s products and more—as well as Backlist titles in the 2013 awards sponsored by Christian Retailing magazine.
