“Never expecting more than a nice day out or a special family dinner, dads are usually easy to shop for,” said National Retail Federation President and CEO Matthew Shay. “From patio sets and grills to ties and gardening tools, retailers will offer specials and promotions in the coming days for families as they scour retailers’ websites and stores for something they know dad will love.”

Roman changes showrooms in Las Vegas Mart Print Email

Roman50Roman has made a strategic move with its showroom location at the Las Vegas Mart after five months of occupancy and a successful January show. The company is moving from what was a brand-new showroom in January to another new space on the ninth floor of building C.

“Roman was recently presented with an opportunity to move to a key location in the mart,” said Sally Murphy, Roman’s director of merchandising. “Our new suite, C-907, is located in a highly visible location adjacent to the escalators, allowing current and new customers to easily find Roman, Cottage Garden and Alexa’s Angels.”

Deb Graham—who founded the company in 2012 along with daughter Kelly Graham Flores and daughters-in-law Kaytie Graham and Toby Graham—is also a buyer at Prestonwood Bookstore at Prestonwood Church in the Dallas area, where her husband, Jack Graham, is pastor and Kelly is store manager. Kaytie has a background in marketing and education, while Toby was a business major and is also an advanced physical trainer. Deb named the company after her first granddaughter.

Known as “Senior,” Spooner co-founded Robert Spooner Galerie with his wife, Betty, in 1981.

“He worked every day of his life,” the family said, and “enjoyed everything with his wife of 56 years, golfing with his son, playing with his grandkids and attending their games and recitals, coaching soccer and baseball, political discussions and chatting with anyone who would listen about the Lord.”
