AbbeyPressArchabbey-WebAbbey Press will host a six-day Open House event on the grounds of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, April 6-11. Open to all wholesalers, the Open House is part of celebrations for the gift supplier’s 50th anniversary in 2014.

Abbey also has announced that one of its store customers attending the Las Vegas Market has won a free trip to the Open House in April. Wayne and Cindee Whiteman of Heavensent Christian Books and Gifts in Las Vegas are the winners.

Attendees at the Open House will receive free accommodations for a three-day, two-night stay; a commemorative gift; and the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings of the 160-year old southern Indiana monastery.

The Abbey Press Showroom will be open exclusive shopping hours and stocked with the company’s newest gift items. Special offers will be available to attendees, including free freight and discounts on orders placed during the event.

Sue Kloeck, director of Abbey Press’ trade marketing division, views the Open House as a way to express gratitude to those who’ve supported the business in the past 50 years.

“People come from all over the world to visit and experience Saint Meinrad Archabbey,” she said. “We’re excited to be able to offer this unique opportunity to our customers.”

Participants also will be able to tour the historic Archabbey Church and other notable sites. Br. Martin Erspamer, OSB, will open his pottery studio to visitors, and Br. Flavian Schwenk, OSB, will welcome those interested in seeing his wood-burning studio.

To make reservations, call 800-621-1588, ext. 8360 by the March 7 deadline.
