MonkeezBackToSchoolMonkeez Makes a Difference is giving free charity event kits to independent retailers in all of its eight showrooms, including Dallas, Chicago and Minneapolis, during the summer markets.

The educational, charitable program for children in the MVP Brands family is supplying stores with kits that include ideas and materials to plan and host community-building events that will benefit its three charity partners—Samaritan’s Purse, Best Friends Animal Society and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

The kit shows how to set up a lemonade stand to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, gives an option for collecting dog toys to benefit Best Friends Animal Society and local animal shelters and explains how to host Operation Christmas Child shoe box packing parties to benefit Samaritan’s Purse.

“Retailers are among the most generous and philanthropic business owners in communities across the country, and we support them in their efforts to make a difference and encourage others to give back,” said Chrysti Carol Propes, founder and director of Monkeez Makes a Difference. “As many independentretailers know, charity events bring the community together, empower others to give back and drive traffic to their stores—it’s a win-win-win for everyone.”

In addition, all Monkeez back-to-school merchandise will be discounted 25% during the summer markets. Back-to-school products include backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles,

pencil boxes and backpack clips. For retailers purchasing back-to-school and other products, free freight is available on orders of $300 or more.

Thanks to the support of independent retailers as well as families across the country, Monkeez has donated more than $82,000 to its three charity partners since October 2012.
