CathedralArtMetal-UnisexBostonCathedral Art Metal created an original line of bracelets to meet the needs of the Boston Marathon and Oklahoma tornado victims.

Based in Providence, R.I., the family-run company has a natural affinity to Boston, and has raised nearly $40,000 for The One Fund Boston, the official fund-raising agency, with the new bracelets.

The company recognized another opportunity to help Oklahomans affected by the recent tornados. Cathedral Art is now raising funds through its bracelet line for OK Strong Disaster Relief Fund formed by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and United Way of Central Oklahoma.

A portion of the company’s metal-based product is made in its own Rhode Island facility, and with this expertise, Cathedral President Leo Tracey decided to create a line of bracelets to benefit One Fund Boston, with each bracelet sold generating a donation.

“We feel it is important for a company like ours to be responsive to the needs of others,” Tracey said. “We are so fortunate to be able to reach out and lend a helping hand to the innocents who have been so tragically impacted by both man-made and natural disasters.  The response from consumers as well as retailers has been overwhelming, and their support of the bracelets has helped us near our goal of  $50,000 for The One Fund Boston!”

The bracelets are engraved with the words “Boston Strong” and “Wicked Strong” and come in different designs.  Each comes in small, medium and large sizes and range from $10 to $20 retail.

The OK Strong designs bear two messages “We Are OK” and “OK Strong” and  also come in different designs and sizes. All are made in the USA. Learn more at www.bostonstrongbracelet.org and www.okstrongbracelet.com
