JaciVelasquezInpopBand Angels, bandages for kids featuring healing-related scriptures, has announced a strategic partnership with Christian recording artist Jaci Velasquez. As spokesperson for the product, Velasquez will make personal appearances on behalf of the company.

Band Angels creators Tim and Tami West first met the singer a couple of years ago when Tim was a guest on “Your Family Friendly Morning Show with Doug and Jaci Velasquez” on Salem Broadcasting's nationally syndicated network 94FM The Fish.

Velasquez and her husband—Salvador’s lead vocalist Nic Gonzales—have two sons, Zealand and Soren, so she especially appreciates the ministry behind Band Angels.

“I have loved using these precious bandages with my kids, and they love them even more!” she said. “ZZ and Soren will ‘pretend’ to have boo-boos just so they can put them on!”

BandAngels-WebThe Wests are eager to begin working with Velasquez.

“Jaci has expressed such enthusiasm about Band Angels,” Tim said. “We are very pleased to have her be part of this expanding brand.”

Band Angels recently launched a spring marketing campaign that includes a social networking element using Facebook and Twitter. The campaign generated more than 10,000 requests for free samples of the bandages.

Additionally, a nationwide infomercial is airing on several television networks and regional stations. National television ad buys are scheduled to begin early this month on mainstream networks such as Nicktoons, Animal Planet, Game Show Network, OWN and the Live Well network.

Since the product line was launched in 2009, Band Angels has sold more than 3 million bandages. Band Angels are now available in nearly 1,000 retail stores.

Band Angels is part of New Life International, a nonprofit organization that partners with ministries to offer resources to the people of God and reach people who have never heard the gospel. The company plans on launching additional products in the coming months under the Band Angels brand.

Retailers can order the product wholesale from www.BandAngels.net or from New Day Christian Distributors or Send The Light (STL) Distribution.
