Awaken the Dawn, the second U.S. release from modern hymn writers Keith & Kristyn Getty ("In Christ Alone") released Aug. 4 through Getty Music/New Day Christian Distributors. The album is a collection of hymns and songs with an Irish flavor. A DVD companion, Behind the Songs, is also available, featuring footage shot in Ireland as well as at London's famous Abbey Road Studios.

Out is in: The Outsiders, the newest album from South Carolina-based Needtobreathe, releases Aug. 25 on Atlantic Records/Word Distribution. The band's follow-up to The Heat features the songs "Lay 'Em Down," "Let Us Love" and "Garden."

Color-coded: Blue, the major label debut from Canadian rockers Manic Drive, is scheduled to release Aug. 18 through Bema Media/Whiplash Records/Provident-Integrity Distribution. The album includes the songs "Eleven Regrets," "Dancefloor," "December Mourning," "Hope" and the title track.

Bill and Gloria Gaither and Their Homecoming Friends gathered in Nashville to record Nashville Homecoming and Joy in My Heart, out Aug. 25, through Gaither Music Group/EMI CMG Distribution. The two releases feature guest vocalists Russ Taff, Lynda Randle, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jimmy Dean and the now late Eva Mae LeFevre.

Also Aug. 25, J Moss releases Just James, his third solo project on GospoCentric (Provident-Integrity Distribution). Centering on issues like repentance and restoration, the album includes the songs "I Gave It Up," "Sweet Jesus," "God Happens" and "Holy One."

Sister act: Tal & Acacia, a sister duo from Portland, Maine, made a national debut with Wake Me, which released July 14 on Essential Records/Provident-Integrity Distribution. The album, described as "quirky pop," was produced by Monroe Jones (Ginny Owens, Chris Rice, Third Day, Caedmon's Call).
