AWSA announces Golden Scroll finalists, Lysa TerKeurst as speaker Print Email

LysaTerKeurst-WebThe Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA) announced its finalists today for the 2013 Golden Scroll Awards for Publisher, Editor, Fiction Editor, Novel and Nonfiction Book of the Year. Lysa TerKeurst, the New York Times best-selling author of Made to Crave and Unglued (both Zondervan), will keynote the AWSA Golden Scrolls Awards Banquet, Sunday afternoon, June 23, at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in St. Louis, where the winners will be announced.

The Golden Scroll Publisher of the Year finalists, honored for outstanding ministry partnerships with their authors, are Crossway, Moody Publishers and New Hope Publishers.

Editor of the Year finalists are Lil Copan of Abingdon Press, Erin Gwynne of Tyndale House Publishers and Sandra Vander Zicht of Zondervan. Fiction Editor of the Year finalists are Vicki Crumpton of Baker Publishing Group, Ramona Richards of Abingdon Press and Shannon Marchese of WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group.

The finalists for the Golden Scroll Nonfiction Book of the Year are Kim De Blecourt with Ginger Kolbaba for Until We All Come Home (FaithWords); Missy Horsfall and Jocelyn Hamsher for Can You Tell This Is a Knockoff? (Barbour Publishing); Sharon Jaynes for A Sudden Glory: God’s Lavish Response to Your Ache for Something More (Multnomah Books); and Karen Whiting and Jocelyn Green for Stories of Faith and Courage From the Home Front (God & Country Press/AMG Publishers).

The 2013 finalists for the Golden Scroll Novel of the Year are Eva Marie Everson for Waiting for Sunrise (Revell/Baker Publishing Group); Jocelyn Green for Wedded to War (River North/Moody Publishers); Susan May Warren for You Don’t Know Me (Tyndale House Publishers); and Jeanette Windle for Congo Dawn (Tyndale).

The 2012 Golden Scroll Lifetime Achievement Award will also be presented at the banquet, as will the AWSA Member of the Year and the Beyond Me Award.
