The fifth annual Christian Small Publisher Book of the Year Awards were recently announced.

Sponsored by Christian Small Publishers Association (CSPA), the awards—which recognize books produced by small publishers for outstanding contributions to Christian life—featured 12 categories, which drew 94 titles nominated by 63 publishers.

Voted on by Christian retailers, the winners were: Yahshua's Bridge by Sandi Rog (DeWard Publishing Company) in General Fiction; Hearts Communion by Marianne Evans (White Rose Publishing) in Romance; Walking in Broken Shoes by Susan Magnuson Walsh (Grace Acres Press) in Christian Living; The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved by J. Phillips (TheDiscipleWhomJesusLoved.com) in Bible Study/Theology; Mr. Awana by Art Rorheim (Grace Acres Press) in Biography/Memoir; Deliver Me: Help, Hope, & Healing through True Stories of Unplanned Pregnancy by Dianne E. Butts (Connections Press) in Relationships/Family; Just Honor God by Rick Metrick (ShadeTree Publishing) in Devotional; Today I Found God by Greg Long (Halo Publishing International) in Children's (4-8 years); What Do Heroes Wear? by Gary Bower (Storybook Meadow) in Children's (8-12 years); Purity's Big Payoff by Donna Lee Schillinger, editor (The Quilldriver) in Young Adult (12 years and up); A Second Cup of Hot Apple Cider by N.J. Lindquist and Wendy Nelles, editors (That's Life! Communication) in Gift Books and Keyboarding for the Christian School (Elementary Edition) by Leanne Beitel (Christian Keyboarding) in E-book Exclusive.

Established in 2004 to represent and promote small Christian publishers, CSPA has grown from three to more than 100 member publishers.
