Thomas Nelson is to publish a Bible married to one of its sleeper best-sellers.

The Jesus Calling Devotional Bible will be released in October, incorporating material from Sarah Young's popular devotional Jesus Calling as well as new writing. The book has sold more than a million copies since it was published in 2004.

Using the New King James Version, the forthcoming Bible will contain "260 scenarios (that) pose life struggles to which Young gives answers from her Savior—words that Jesus has lovingly laid on her heart—words that have comforted and inspired Young and so many others," said the company, announcing the edition.

"This compelling new devotional Bible will be an enormous blessing to the thousands of fans of Jesus Calling as well as anyone who is searching for a tool to help make the time that they spend reading the Bible more meaningful," said Senior Vice President and Bible Group Publisher Gary Davidson.

On sale Oct. 18, the Bible will include an index to the featured devotions, hundreds of highlighted scriptures and two-color text. It will be available in five bindings, from padded hardcover retailing for $39.99 to genuine black leather, priced at $79.99.

A missionary in Australia who journaled her personal devotions and shared them with friends before they were collected for publication, Young was diagnosed in 2001 with chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme disease and primary hyperparathyroidism. Since then, "the prayers of God's people have kept me going—and kept me writing," she told Christian Retailing last year.

A children's edition of her devotional, Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions for Kids, was published last October.
