Tyndale to publish ‘Courageous’ novelization

Tyndale House Publishers will publish the novelization of Courageous—the widely anticipated follow-up from the makers of the hit movie Fireproof—which will release in theaters nationwide Sept. 30.

Based on the screenplay by Alex and Stephen Kendrick, Courageous: A Novel—to be released in August and retail for $14.99—will be written by best-selling author Randy Alcorn. The film addresses fatherhood through the lives of four police officers.

"The strength of the energy behind the Courageous initiative and the powerful storytelling team of the Kendricks and Randy Alcorn promise a novel with long-lasting impact," said Tyndale Associate Publisher for Fiction Karen Watson.

Founder and director of Eternal Perspective Ministries, Alcorn is the author of If God Is Good (Multnomah Books) and Heaven (Tyndale House).

A plot device in Fireproof, the Kendricks' The Love Dare (B&H Books/B&H Publishing Group)—published in 2008 in paperback and in imitation leather in 2009—and their The Love Dare Day by Day devotional and wedding edition have sold more than 4 million copies internationally.
