Big Idea is releasing Pistachio: The Little Boy That Woodn't in Christian retail stores Saturday, Feb. 27, three days ahead of the general market.

A twist on the classic story of Pinocchio, the DVD offers a lesson about the importance of family and children listening to their parents, while highlighting Eph. 6:1-3 and the parable of the lost sheep from Matt. 18:10-14 and Luke 15: 4-7.

"Everyone knows the story of Pinocchio and how he became a ‘real boy,' but Pinocchio has a clever VeggieTales twist that incorporates elements of truth from the classic tale, while emphasizing the father-son relationship and the strength of family," said Greg Fritz, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Big Idea. "Parents will resonate with the desire of Gelato, who only wants to do what's best for his child, while kids will see that there's ultimately great reward in listening to them."

As part of the marketing campaign for Pinocchio, Chick-fil-A will spotlight the DVD in its 1,400-plus restaurants with videos, music, activities and a $2-off coupon. The 50-minute DVD has bonus features and a new Silly Song, "Where Have All the Staplers Gone?"
