Several segments of the Christian product industry are mobilizing relief help to disaster victims in Haiti, which was struck Jan. 12 by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake, causing thousands of casualties.

Biblica, holder of the New International Version copyright, has partnered with Compassion International, Trans World Radio and the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team to provide Bibles in conjunction with providing relief supplies. "God's Word is critical for spiritual strength, just as water, food and shelter provide physical strength in the midst of tragedy," Biblica President CEO Doug Lockhart said in an e-mail to supporters. "Please give now to provide Scriptures for the people of Haiti."

Meanwhile, Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) has partnered with Convoy of Hope to provide audio Bibles. "We have already sent 100 Proclaimers through our ministry partner, Convoy of Hope," said Jon Wilke, spokesman for FCBH. "These portable, solar-powered audio Bibles will be given to local pastors so people can hear God's Word in their own language--Haitian Creole."

Elsewhere, members of the 300-member Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and 200 Christians will march Saturday, Jan. 23, across the Brooklyn Bridge into New York City, where they will distribute tickets to a free concert to raise money for Haitian relief efforts. The concert, featuring music from the choir's latest CD, Declare Your Name (Integrity Music), will be held this Sunday, Jan. 24, at The Brooklyn Tabernacle in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Artist, producer and composer Bebo Norman has put one of his personal guitars up for auction on eBay--concluding Jan. 22--to benefit Compassion International's relief efforts in Haiti. "This guitar is priceless as far as I'm concerned," Norman said. "The only way I would even dream of letting this guitar go is for a cause as important as serving the people of Haiti and meeting them in their time of crisis."

Popular Bible teacher and New York Times best-selling author Joyce Meyer's Hand of Hope (HoH) missions group has partnered with the Haiti-based Christian humanitarian organization Love A Child to help bring assistance, relief and aid to the earthquake victims in Haiti. HoH is part of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Love A Child's medical clinic in Fond Parisien, Haiti--the Jesus Healing Center--has been open around-the-clock, helping to treat the injured.
