An Internet business described as a Christian bookstore has created a stir for selling Ku Klux Klan T-shirts for children.

The Web site of Christian Books and Things based in Harrison, Ark., identifies the business as the exclusive distributor of The Knights Party designs. The apparel includes designs declaring "White Power" and "We stand for God, Race & Country." Children's sizes include one stating "Klan Kids Kare" and "Love Jesus, Love Your Heritage."

The apparel has caught the attention of some bloggers, one of whom described the shirts as "unbelievable." Another wrote that she was "vacillating between speechless and spitting with venom."

CBA President Bill Anderson confirmed that Christian Books and Things was "definitely not" a CBA member. "Nor do their values represent what I find as a standard our members aspire to," he said, "in their commitment to sharing the grace, forgiveness and love of Christ and encouraging the unity of His body."

The Christian Books and Things Web site also sells "some of the best books with old, but rediscovered facts about the Bible, current issues from a biblical perspective, and historical studies of the Christian faith."
