With CBA's 60th-anniversary convention one day shorter than the usual show, there will be a full schedule of training for retailers attending the July 12-15 event in Denver.

Educational offerings at the International Christian Retail Show will include CBA's Professional Christian Retailer (PCR) certification courses, a Prospective Retailer Seminar and workshops, including some tailored to church-based stores.

"With today's economy and the challenging times our retailers face, CBA is committed to offering training opportunities at the show that will equip retailers with the knowledge, skills and partnerships they need to rise above the competition," said CBA President Bill Anderson.

"Whether you're new to retail and planning to attend the Prospective Retailer Seminar, or a seasoned expert working on your Professional Christian Retailer certification, there will be opportunities for you at the show," he added.

"Attendees can take advantage of topic-based workshops as well, addressing concerns ranging from enlisting volunteers to launching a Web site. Retailer Idea Exchanges are an extremely important opportunity to learn ‘what works' from colleagues in the business."

Additional registration fees are required for most of the training sessions. PCR modules are available for $49 for CBA members and $79 for non-members. The Prospective Retailer Seminar is $275 for members and $475 for non-members. Each workshop is available for $20 for members and $40 for non-members.
