Alaska Gov.alt, a committed Christian who was the unexpected running mate chosen by Republican presidential candidate John McCain in last fall's election, is to publish a memoir with HarperCollins.

Currently untitled, the book--scheduled to come out in spring 2010, the year she is up for re-election--will be co-released by HarperCollins imprint Harper and Zondervan for the Christian market, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

"There's been so much written about and spoken about in the mainstream media and in the anonymous blogosphere world, that this will be a wonderful, refreshing chance for me to get to tell my story, that a lot of people have asked about, unfiltered," Palin, 45, told the AP earlier this week.

Palin's memoir will cover her personal and political life, from her childhood in Alaska and last year's campaign to her political beliefs and her family life, including the pregnancy of her teenage daughter, Bristol Palin, who gave birth in December to a baby boy, Tripp. The Christian market version will reportedly feature faith aspects of Palin's life.

Washington, D.C., attorney Robert Barnett, whose clients include Barack Obama and former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, handled the book negotiations for the Alaska governor. Barnett has made similar deals for other authors whose faith is an important part of their story, including Dan Quayle, Oliver North and Bill Bennett, politico.com reported. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Palin was widely expected to get a multimillion-dollar contract, according to the AP.

Christian publishers released several Palin biographies last year, including Sarah Palin: A New Kind of Leader by Joe Hilley (Zondervan) and Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned the Political Establishment Upside Down by Kaylene Johnson (Epicenter Press/Tyndale House Publishers)--both of which made the New York Times' best-seller list in the Paperback Nonfiction category.
