‘Love Takes Wing’ coming to Christian retail

Based on the seventh installment of Janette Oke's "Love Comes Softly" series (Bethany House Publishers/Baker Publishing Group), Love Takes Wing is scheduled for release on DVD May 5 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and is being distributed to Christian retail by Word Distribution.

The movie tells the story of Dr. Belinda Simpson (Sarah Jones) returning from Boston and making her way to Missouri with her best friend, Annie, (Haylie Duff) to become the town doctor.

The previous DVD titles in the series--Love Comes Softly, Love's Enduring Promise, Love's Long Journey, Love's Abiding Joy, Love's Unending Legacy and Love's Unfolding Dream--have ranked as the highest-rated films in the history of The Hallmark Channel, and have been mainstays on the Christian retail channel's top 10 adult titles chart, according to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The series has sold more than 3.5 million DVDs.
