Recordable StorybookDaySpring’s recordable storybooks

DaySpring recently announced the exclusive release of its first Recordable Storybook Collection for Christian retail stores.

The first title, Bedtime Prayers and Promises, will be available the middle of this month and will feature voice-save technology, enabling the reader’s voice to be recorded into the book. As the young reader—or pre-reader—turns each page, the recorded voice “reads” the story.

“The Bedtime Prayers and Promises Recordable Storybook gives families a way to connect with loved ones, even when they’re far away,” said DaySpring’s Director of Marketing Communications Brenda Turner. “The nightly routine of reading to a child and saying prayers now can span miles—even generations.”

DaySpring plans to release three more titles exclusive to CBA retailers in the fall.

The Recordable Storybook technology was first released by Hallmark and aggressively supported by a national TV advertising campaign. DaySpring, a subsidiary of Hallmark, believes its collection of Recordable Storybooks will fill a niche for Christian retail stores.

“DaySpring’s Recordable Storybook Collection will give Christian retailers a new way to help parents and grandparents encourage children in their faith,” said Turner. “We are looking forward to being an integral part of sharing the love of reading—and the love of God—through these new storybooks.”

Written by Bonnie Rickner Jensen and accompanied by illustrations from Julie Sawyer Phillips, Bedtime Prayers and Promises offers Scripture verses, prayer starters and rhymes that teach children about God’s love.

Bedtime Prayers and Promises will begin shipping in mid-March and retails for $29.95. To order, call DaySpring at 800-944-8000.
