Another biography about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the unexpected running mate chosen by Republican presidential candidate John McCain, was released yesterday.

Published by Bully! Pulpit Books, Sarah Barracuda: The Rise of Sarah Palin was written by Mark Joseph, a Christian who is a regular contributor to Foxnews.com. "Although she's often portrayed in the media as a lightweight, what I discovered was a tough political operator who more than lived up to her high school nickname of 'Barracuda,' " Joseph said.

The book explores Palin's religious beliefs along with four other recently released biographies about the historic Republican vice presidential candidate: Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned the Political Establishment Upside Down by Kaylene Johnson (Epicenter Press/Tyndale House Publishers); Sarah Palin: The Real Deal by G. Robert James (White Stone Books); Sarah Palin: Faith, Family, Country by Susan Sherwood Parr (Bridge-Logos Publishers); and Sarah Palin: A New Kind of Leader by Joe Hilley (Zondervan).
