Ingram Content Group hired two new executives last week, Margaret Harrison and Ed Spade. Harrison will be the director of product metadata, while Spade takes on the role of senior content acquisition manager.
Harrison will oversee quality and communication of bibliographic metadata for Ingram. She specializes in data operations for digital content, including strategic direction for metadata management, digital asset management and digital asset distribution.
Prior to joining Ingram, Harrison was the ebook global supply chain manager for Oxford University Press in New York City. Harrison received her master's degree in publishing from Pace University in New York and her bachelor's in English and philosophy from Boston College.
Spade will be consulting with trade publishers on their strategies for print and digital publishing, digital content management and distribution, e-commerce, digital strategy, rights management, product development and licensing.
Previously Spade served as director of digital publishing for Nickelodeon in New York City. In that position, he managed the global ebook publishing and U.S. digital video account relationships for clients, including Amazon, Apple, Google Play and Nook. Spade received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of North Florida.
