Recently the Internet has been abuzz reacting to a column by influential blogger, Michael Spencer, known as the "Internet Monk," who says that we are within ten years of a major collapse of evangelical Christianity. Spencer speaks to the foibles, flaws and failures of evangelicalism as a sympathetic insider but with uncomfortable frankness.

And while I would challenge some of his conclusions, I also realize that we in the Christian retail industry have to be willing to hold a mirror up to ourselves to evaluate how we are doing in building God’s kingdom in the culture in which we live.
