A group of leading Christian publishers has seen year-to-date sales rise by almost 5% over last year.

An aggregate increase of 4.6% was reported for 2010 through last month by the 15 member houses giving data to the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA). Eight of them saw a median year-to-date increase of almost 14.5%.

Meanwhile, sales for the month saw an aggregate drop of 5.7% over the same period in 2009. The aggregate returns rate for October was 10.58%, year to date 13.83%.

The publishers reporting data—for inclusion in the Association of American Publishers' sales tracking—were Bardin & Marsee Publishing, Concordia Publishing, Crossway, David C. Cook Foundation Publications, Gospel Light, Harvest House Publishers, InterVarsity Press, Kregel Publishers, Moody Publishers, NavPress, Rose Publishing, Thomas Nelson, Tyndale House Publishers and Wesleyan Publishing House.
