Christian books were recently honored by the Mom's Choice Awards, which recognizes authors, inventors, parents, companies and others for their efforts in creating quality family-friendly media, products and services.

Gold recipients in the Family & Parenting Books category were: The Busy Mom's Guide to a Happy, Organized Home by Kathy Peel (Picket Fence Press/Tyndale House Publishers); Parenting by the Book by John Rosemond (Howard Books); Raising Healthy Kids in an Unhealthy World by Linda Mintle (Thomas Nelson); and Raising Respectful Children in a Disrespectful World by Jill Rigby (Howard Books).

Gold recipients in the Adult Books category included: Hugs: Daily Inspiration for Moms (Howard Books); Mistaken Identity by Don & Susie Van Ryn, and Newell, Colleen & Whitney Cerak with Mark Tabb (Howard Books); and Navigating Through the Gospel of Mark by Joyce Sidey Brogdon (Xulon Press). Silver winners in the same category were: Before You Plan Your Wedding, Plan Your Marriage by Greg and Erin Smalley (Howard Books); and Snips & Snails and Puppy Dog Tails: Celebrate the Wonder of Little Boys and Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice: Celebrate the Wonder of Little Girls, both by Chrys Howard (both Howard Books).

Gold recipients in the Children's Picture Books category included the following Thomas Nelson titles: I Love You More Than Rainbows by Susan Crites and illustrated by Mark and Rosemary Jarman; Nana's Bible Stories by Roberta Simpson and illustrated by Susan Mitchell; Romp, Stomp, Waddle Home by Jack Hanna; The Moon Shines Down by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Linda Bleck; and My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and Tom Douglas and illustrated by Julia Denos.

In the Young Adult Books category, Isle of Swords by Wayne Thomas Batson (Thomas Nelson) was a silver recipient.
