B Haley, drummer for TobyMac and the DiverseCity Christian hip-hop band, recently teamed up with Not of This World (NOTW) to launch a new T-shirt line, B IT. More than 2,000 shirts have been sold, making the line the top-selling shirts online at as well as in C28 retail stores.

Haley has created the clothing line to encourage others with a call to action to B who Jesus has equipped you to B.

“In traveling and working with others, I’ve realized that so many times we go outside of ourselves looking to other people for something that God has already placed in our souls,” Haley said.“B the love, for Jesus has given us that love, and we can share it with others. B the hope, and show people the hope that you have in His name.”

Kerusso has been recognized for the fourth consecutive year in the Impressions Magazine Annual Awards Competition, this time with the Fishers of Men 3 design winning the category of Multicolor Screen Printing on Light or Dark Garments.

From Matt. 4:19, the design reads “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” Released in spring 2010, the design features the illustration of a large bass with the message, “You catch ‘em, God cleans ‘em.”

“I started Kerusso with a very specific purpose,” said Vic Kennett, CEO and president. “I wanted to start a business that would allow me to share the gospel. The Impressions Annual Awards Competition is the industry’s most prestigious apparel decorating contest. To compete along with some of the industry’s best and be recognized for what we do as a company is a great privilege.”

The 32nd annual Impressions contest was held at the Fort Worth Imprinted Sportswear Show, Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

CREATIVE THINKING: preparing for 2011 PDF Print E-mail

Looking ahead to 2011, I've come to the same conclusion as Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple and founder of Pixar: "If you look at my life, I've never gotten it right the first time. It always takes me twice," he said.

Jobs has this unfailing consistency-faith that he would figure it all out as he went along-and it would often take a leap of faith to see a vision through to its fruition. Creative, magnetic people who want to make changes have to believe it will all work out in the end and be ready to put their boots into the stirrups, hold on for a wild ride and make it to the finish line.

Holiday sales expected to rise

Holiday retail sales are expected to increase a moderate 2.3% this year to $447.1 billion, which would be a marked improvement from last year's 0.4% uptick and 2008's 3.9% holiday sales decline, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF).

"While many consumers will be wishing for apparel and electronics this holiday season, retailers are hoping the holidays bring sustainable economic growth," said NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay. "Though the retail industry is on stronger footing than last year, companies are closely watching key economic indicators like employment and consumer confidence before getting too optimistic that the recession is behind them."
