Leeland, Third Day, Warren Barfield and John Waller are some of the artists appearing on the original motion picture soundtrack to last year’s hit film Fireproof, releasing July 14 from Reunion Records (6-02341-01432-8, $11.99, Provident-Integrity Distribution).

The Sherwood Pictures film starring Kirk Cameron, which opened at No. 4, went on to gross $33 million at the box office, becoming the most successful independent film of 2008. It then debuted at No. 1 on the SoundScan DVD chart upon its home-viewing release in January.

Due to strong demand for the music featured in the film, six of the musical tracks have appeared in the iTunes Christian 100 since the film’s box office release.

The songs are Barfield’s theme song “Love Is Not a Fight,” Leeland’s “Brighter Days,” Third Day’s “This Is Who I Am,” Waller’s “While I’m Waiting,” Casting Crowns’ “Slow Fade” and Grey Holiday’s “You Belong to Me.”

Ten orchestral songs from the movie score are included on the album as well, along with a bonus remix of Waller’s “While I’m Waiting” featuring dialogue from the film.
