'Inc.' names Kerusso among fast-growing companies

For the third straight year, Inc. magazine has named Christian-themed apparel producer Kerusso to its Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.

"We continue to be honored to be a part of such a prestigious list as the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies," said Vic Kennett, president and chief executive officer of Kerusso. "This is a testimony to our dedicated Kerusso team, who excel at hard work and innovation."

Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan said the list "is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate."
In other news, Kerusso has also announced it has raised another $25,000 from apparel sales since June to benefit needy children through its "Live for Him: Waiting Children" line of T-shirts, rings, caps and wristbands.

The goal of the Live for Him program is $500,000. Since 2004, Kerusso has donated more than $325,000 to child development and sponsorship organization Compassion International.

Kerusso donates $1 from the sale of each adult or youth T-shirt or cap, 50 cents from the sale of each ring and 25 cents from the sale of each wristband. The theme of this year's "Live for Him" initiative is "Waiting Children," focusing on children waiting for sponsorships.

Mark Hanlon, Compassion senior vice president, said: "Kerusso is a wonderful example of a company that is truly seeking to make a huge impact for the Kingdom of God by donating to worldwide missions. Many companies post a mission statement in the halls of their organization. Kerusso does their mission around the globe with their products."
