Charity Glass Designs of Ashburn, Va., has introduced two new crosses for the Christmas shopping season. Handmade in Italy, the Large Glass Cross is available in pastel or bold colors and comes gift-boxed.

Each cross is made by fusing together tiny slices of glass cane. It is then tumbled in a heated kiln of special sand and crushed walnut shells for seven days. The sand rounds out the corners of the cross, and the shells give it a high gloss shine. No two crosses are exactly alike.

Each cross measures 1½ inches long by 1 inch wide, and weighs less than ½ ounce. A silver-colored metal loop is attached to the back of each cross pendant.

The pendant alone retails for $28.99 and for $47.99 with an 18-inch sterling silver box chain. A brooch is available for $28.99.
