Pure-Flix-LogoPure Flix Entertainment has announced the addition of two new team members. Steve Okin joins the Pure Flix team as vice president of home entertainment distribution, and Franklin Santagate has been named vice president of outreach.

Okin will be responsible for maximizing the distribution of Pure Flix properties into major retail outlets such as Best Buy, Walmart and Costco. He will also advance digital programming in association with pureflix.com.

Okin is a former partner with Critical Thinking LLC and the former vice president of family entertainment for Affirm Films and Sony Wonder.

Santagate will be responsible to develop and implement the strategies for church and ministry engagement with the objective of expanding the Pure Flix reach and impact both domestically and internationally. He will oversee the growth and operations of regional teams poised to increase group ticket sales.

Santagate recently served as director for the nonprofit Marketplace Network in Modesto, California.

"As Pure Flix continues to experience growth that currently includes film production and video-on-demand platforms, we realize the critical importance of team members that bring commitment, excellence and dedication to their fields," said Michael Scott, Pure Flix founding partner. "Both Steve and Franklin bring decades of executive experience to the industry in their perspective roles. With these terrific additions, Pure Flix is better positioned to encourage audiences through our production and distribution of faith and family entertainment.”

This past March, Pure Flix released Do You Believe?, which debuted in the top 10 at the box office and remained there for several weeks. The studio's upcoming theatrical release schedule includes Faith of Our Fathers on July 1 and Woodlawn on Oct. 16.
