LoveCameDownTeapotDaySpring and Thomas Nelson have tied with three gift finalists each in the 2013 Christian Retailing’s Best awards sponsored by Christian Retailing magazine.

DaySpring’s three finalists are the Love Came Down teapot (General Gift Product); Love Came Down dinner plate (Seasonal/Holiday); and Wooden Cross (Wall Décor).

Thomas Nelsons’s gift finalists are Grace Happens Here by Max Lucado (Gift Books); Inspired You by Marian Parsons (Gift Books); and The Hope of Christmas by Jack Countryman (Seasonal/Holiday).

Nominating companies and authors submitted gifts, books, Bibles, DVDs and more in this year’s competition. In each category, three finalists are named, although some categories have more than three due to ties in the voting.

Introduced in 2001, the awards have been increasingly acknowledged as an important way of recognizing some of the most significant new life-changing products in the Christian retail industry.

Those who qualified to vote in the awards this year were asked to judge the nominations on their impact, including their ability to speak to people’s hearts and evoke emotion; open people’s minds to new ways of thinking; and encourage and affirm Christ-like living.

Winners of the Christian Retailing’s Best awards—formerly known as the Retailers Choice Awards—will be presented at the International Christian Retail Show in St. Louis in June.
