Once In a Blue Moon by Leanna Ellis centers on Brynda Seymore, known to her friends as Bryn, a newspaper reporter and obituary writer. Orphaned at the age of 9 when her mother allegedly committed suicide. Bryn has never known her father's identity, being raised by her grandmother who never spoke of her mother.
While on a story reporting on the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 14 moon landing at NASA in Houston, Bryn believes she may have found her father. Following up on this possibility leads her to a small and eerie town in Texas called Marfa, where strange lights and even stranger people live. At the same time, the possibility of romance - perhaps the last thing on Bryn's mind - exists with a man who provides more information on her quest to uncover more about her mother.
Although the ending may not be as satisfying as the story promises, Once In a Blue Moon is a conspiracy lover's dream - with many twists and turns and a romantic novel adventure all in one.
