GhostwriterFaithWordsTravis Thrasher's next thriller, Ghostwriter, releasing in May through FaithWords, appears in the company's new Spring Summer 2009 catalog, its cover featuring a pen on a blood-stained, rough wood surface. According to the summary, the book centers on a suspense writer who finds himself in the center of real-life horror. Thrasher previously released Isolation with the company earlier this year.

Hachette (including FaithWords and Center Street) tends to tie into its prominent new products by featuring book cover images on the front of its catalog, selecting Ghostwriter this time. Perhaps in a bid to be a little less jolting to retailers, however, someone seems to have been recruited to wipe up the stains, as the wooden surface appears blood-free.

The company's catalog also announces the July release of Any Minute, a new novel from Joyce Meyer and Deborah Bedford, authors of 2007's The Penny, which has sold more than 262,000 copies in hardcover and softcover. The new novel is a story about a woman, Sarah Harper, whose busy, career-oriented life is drastically changed by a near death experience. Whether that involves bloodstains is not clear.
