Gateway Church in Dallas

The bookstore at Gateway Church in Dallas sold around 100 copies of Caroline Leaf's new book, The Gift in You (Thomas Nelson), at a special signing. Customers also purchased approximately 50 copies of her previous book Who Switched Off My Brain? Controlling Toxic Thoughts and Emotions.

The signing for the author-a member of the church-was held in the main church lobby, close to the store, and followed a presentation she made in the main sanctuary. "We don't have Wednesday night service, but we have classes in the main sanctuary every Wednesday night. It was a natural fit," said Bobby Williams, director of resource ministries.

The event was promoted with in-store signs, on fliers in bags and in an e-mail to attendees of the church's discipleship classes.

The Bookmark in Marietta, Ga.

The bookstore at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga.-The Bookmark-hosted a signing for one of its own members, William Lane Craig.

The President of the Evangelical Philosophical Society and a Sunday Bible study class leader at the church, Craig was there to sign copies of his recent book, God is Great, God is Good (David. C. Cook).

The event was advertised on the store's Facebook page, in the church bulletin and on posters and fliers, said Dottie Poythress, bookstore manager.
