National media visited Destiny World Outreach Center in Killeen, Texas, in the aftermath of the Nov. 5 shootings at nearby Fort Hood, which left 13 dead and 42 wounded, to report on how the church-with a large military membership-was reaching out to members of its congregation and local community.

Michael Wolmer, co-manager of the Destiny World Outreach Center Bookstore, said: "We were packed both services, and God showed up in a very real way to let everyone know He was still on the throne. Our pastor has been preaching on the 23rd Psalm, and we have an incredible testimony by a recent visitor to our church who threw himself on top his sergeant. ... He miraculously survived.

"We continue to remind people that God is still on the throne, and despite the enemy's desire to destroy, we are still seeing unprecedented altar calls that are so large it results in lines to get into the prayer room. The Holy Spirit is alive and well in the greater Fort Hood area."
