The Bookmark bookstore at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga., hosted a homecoming of sorts, May 13, for author Jennifer Schuchmann.

The Atlanta-area writer was back at the church, where she worshiped for 15 years, to sign copies of her new book, Nine Ways God Always Speaks (Tyndale House Publishers), co-authored with Mark Herringshaw.

Schuchmann promoted the signing-held on a Wednesday evening to make the most of the church's midweek attendance-through her blog and on Facebook. "It was great to be back and see some old friends and make some new ones," she said. "I love the personal contact of book signings."
