Miss California Carrie Prejean, who made headlines for defending traditional marriage when interviewed during the Miss USA Pageant, was a guest at The Rock Church in San Diego last weekend.

Jayson Payne, manager of the church's Rockpile bookstore, reports:

alt"We hosted Carrie Prejean in a one-on-one interview with Senior Pastor Miles McPherson. People came away inspired to stand up for their faith in each moment, every day. It was amazing. God is faithful when you are obedient.

"Total church attendance throughout the day was 12,652. We sold more than 350 message CDs and had featured products such as How to Share Your Faith by Greg Laurie and (Becoming a) Contagious Christian by Bill Hybels (and Mark Mittelberg). We plan to make the DVD of the service available soon.

"Because of her strong stand on her faith, Carrie is very much in demand as a speaker. She tells us she plans to continue her ministry on being ‘bold' for Jesus and also plans to write a book."
