Tyndale Español, the new Spanish publishing imprint of Tyndale House Publishers, has appointed Dr. Mafalda E. Novella to the newly created position of editor.

Born and raised in Peru, Novella worked nearly 20 years for Peru's largest mining company. Nine years ago she moved to Wheaton, Ill., where she taught English to Hispanic personnel at a local company, and presented motivational seminars while studying and earning MBA and Doctorate in Education degrees at National-Louis University in Chicago.

As editor, Novella “will oversee translation and editorial development of Tyndale's Spanish products,” said Dan Elliott, editorial director.

“(Novella) is a welcomed asset to Tyndale Español and will greatly increase our capabilities as we charge ahead,” said Andrés Schwartz, director of the imprint.

“Much has been accomplished in this first year of Tyndale Español,” Schwartz said. “By May we will have released nine titles under the new imprint.”
