A number of retailers are going home with extra money, thanks to a giveaway at the Kirkbride Bible Co. booth. Celebrating the anniversary of its best-selling King James Version of the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible, the company has been giving away three $100 gift cards each day to retailers whose names are drawn from entries at the booth.

David Gage, Kirkbride's executive vice president, told Christian Retailing the response has been good. The purpose of the giveaway, he said, was to draw attention to the Bible's anniversary and also "to draw traffic" to the company's booth. He reported steady foot traffic and a "fabulous" response from international attendees.
