CBA announced yesterday that its board of directors has appointed Jason Green, president of Mardel Christian & Education, to finish the term of Scott MacDonald, former president of Insight Retail Group.

MacDonald, who has completed the transition agreed to in the sale of Lemstone's parent company, Insight Retail Group, to Parable, has taken a position in the software industry. Green attended his first CBA board meeting Friday and Saturday, and will serve on the board through Sept. 30, 2009.

CBA also announced that the Industry Conference will take place Jan. 13-15, 2009, in Atlanta, following AmericasMart's Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market and just before the Christian Trade Association International's Marketsquare International, to be held Jan. 15-17 in Atlanta.

"We know that nearly 30% of the Christian retailers who attend the International Christian Retail Show also attend the AmericasMart show in Atlanta in January, and many of our suppliers will exhibit at Marketsquare, so it makes a lot of sense to hold the Industry Conference in Atlanta between those two events," Scott Graham, CBA meetings and expositions director, said.
