Zondervan author and speaker Anne Graham Lotz challenged attendees at Sunday morning's Worship Now service at the International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) with a message on holiness from Isaiah 5-6. She referred to a time of repentance in her own life three years ago, declaring that, "it's only the blood of Jesus that can take away your sin," and calling on those present to repent, naming many possible sins, including ingratitude, unbelief and neglect of God's family.

Preceded by worship leader Ron Kenoly (STL Distribution) and the Daniel Doss Band (Sparrow Records/EMI CMG), Lotz gently rebuked those who didn't bring their Bibles to the service. Asking everyone to raise their Bibles, she told attendees to look around and challenged them to "not lose their focus on the Word."

Lotz said that God is trying to get our attention with alarms "going off in our world today," such as fires and a record-breaking number of tornados. We must not only examine the alarm, but also hear what God is saying-for unbelievers to "get right" with God and for believers to wake up and "care about a lost world," she said.

Looking at the six woes in Isaiah 5, Lotz exhorted attendees against sins such as hypocrisy and building a business at another's expense. Retailers were urged to praise Jesus even when business isn't going well.

Eager not to miss anything Lotz said, Cindy Thompson, manager of The Parrish Book Store at The Parish Church of St. Helena in Beaufort, S.C., sat in the front row and said she appreciated her "timely" message from the Old Testament: "She's always very current in her approach," the retailer said about Lotz.
