Thomas Nelson announced during CBA International that its line of "Biblezines"-the magazine-style presentation of Scripture launched by the Revolve New Testament for teen girls-helped make the company "the world's largest Bible publisher" last year.

Selling almost 8 million Bibles in the year ending March 31-800,000 units more than its nearest competitor-the company saw sales leap 18% over the previous 12-month period.

"We are witnessing more interest in the Bible than ever," President Michael Hyatt said in a statement. "People are confused and searching. They are looking for authoritative answers to everyday problems. Therefore, we remain convinced that interest in the Bible will continue to grow in the months and years ahead."

Winning widespread media attention for its unusual approach to Bible publishing, Revolve was followed by editions for teen boys (Refuel) and women (Becoming). African-American and children's versions are to follow.
