Gospel Music Channel airs 'Live Labor Day Weekend' Print

Gospel Music Channel (GMC) will broadcast Live Labor Day Weekend, featuring a 64-hour marathon of music from 22 artists, three premiere episodes of Front Row Live, the network's concert series, and live reports from Celebrate Freedom Atlanta, company officials said.

Starting at 7 a.m. EST Sept. 1, GMC will air concerts by several artists, including Anointed, Family Force 5, Fred Hammond, Ginny Owens, Hawk Nelson, Kirk Franklin, Martha Munizzi, Michael W. Smith and Third Day.

Also on Sept. 1, the network will feature coverage from Celebrate Freedom Atlanta, a 14-plus hour concert from Atlanta, with 20 Christian and gospel artists, including Steven Curtis Chapman, Avalon, Mandisa, Natalie Grant, Mark Schultz and Aaron Shust.

GMC will air Front Row Live episodes featuring Rebecca St. James Sept. 1 and The Rance Allen Group Sept. 2. A third premiere episode of Front Row Live featuring Brian Smith will be broadcast Sept. 4.

On Sept. 3, GMC will broadcast Celebrate Freedom 2007, held June 29 and 30 in Parker, Texas. Billed as the largest free concert in the country, the event featured nearly 40 artists, including Casting Crowns, Toby Mac, Nichole Nordeman, Krystal Meyers, Marcos Witt, Bebo Norman, Salvador and Michael English, GMC officials said.
