Kyle Mitchell and Kyle Zeigler, former members of platinum-selling band Kutless, have announced their first artist's release on the newly formed Verbatim Records. The founders, who departed the group after the Strong Tower project, have the goal of offering up-and-coming local and regional artists quality production options and assistance with promotion. The first artist on the new label, Logan Martin, will release Colorless (Verbatim/Infinity Music Distribution) on Sept. 25. Martin will tour with Shawn McDonald, Phil Wickham and Warren Barfield in support of the project. "Logan is such a talented song writer and performer, and on top of that, he is so genuinely committed to impacting people with his music, we really couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with him on a deeper level," Mitchell said.
Verbatim Records intends to launch additional artists through the end of the year and into 2008.
