Toby Mac's latest makes strong debut Print

Toby Mac's latest, Portable Sounds, now has more than 100 Christian radio stations playing his hit singles "I'm for You" (50 stations) and "Made to Love" (53 stations), which is also No. 1 on the Radio & Records CHR chart.

Portable Sounds debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. 10 and No. 1 on SoundScan Contemporary Christian Overall chart, making this his highest solo career debut selling 50,645 units.

Fourteen percent of street week numbers were from digital sales, with the album landing at No. 4 on the Billboard Digital Sales chart. Also during street week, Portable Sounds broke into the Top 10 overall albums on iTunes.

Toby Mac's retail single, "Made to Love," debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot Singles chart and remains in the top five. This single also topped the SoundScan Christian Digital Track chart.

At the movies, Toby Mac's Christian rock radio hit "Boomin' " is featured in one of the trailers for the film Underdog, in theaters now, while song "Feelin so Fly" is featured in the new Disney film The GamePlan, to release Sept. 28.

The Portable Sounds fall tour, with BarlowGirl and Thousand Foot Krutch, is set to kick off Sept. 1 in and stop in about 38 cities through Dec. 14.
