Rocketown Records recently announced the signing of longtime Christian recording artist Geoff Moore. Best-known for his work on ForeFront Records with his band The Distance, Moore's first Rocketown CD, Speak to Me, is due to release April 3. The album's first single, “When I Get Where I'm Going,” goes for adds at AC and INSP radio Feb. 23. Originally a huge country radio hit for Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton, the song penned by Rivers Rutherford and George G. Geren III is now featured as a duet between Moore and Watermark's Christy Nockels. Moore is scheduled to join Mark Harris from March through May for the Every Single One tour, a nod to Moore's song of the same name that emphasizes the Christian's call to care for the poor. The tour is sponsored by Compassion International, for which Moore has been a spokesperson throughout his career, accumulating more than 15,000 child sponsorships.
In addition, Moore will be doing his own solo dates throughout the spring and summer before his Aug. 9 appearance at the Kingdom Bound festival for the 20th-anniversary reunion concert with his former band, The Distance.
