Christian alternative worship artist David Crowder and his band were named Artist of the Year by the MSN Music portal, edging out Prince, Christina Aguilera, INXS and Kenny Chesney. David Crowder Band received an overwhelming number of online votes from fans, which decided the results.

The band recently performed at the mega collegiate Passion07 conference with worship leaders Matt Redman, Charlie Hall and Chris Tomlin.

Known for pushing musical boundaries, David Crowder Band has attracted the attention of mainstream media, including The New York Times, CNN and FOX News. The group has also toured with Michael W. Smith, MercyMe and Third Day and continues to be featured at Passion gatherings.
