GRAMMY-Award winners Nicole C. Mullen and Michael W. Smith are among the featured artists headlining Songs of Praise for Christmas, a 90-minute DIRECTV special to be hosted by Amy Grant and NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip.

The program also will include performances by American Idol star Clay Aiken, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and other choirs from around the country. It will debut on DIRECTV Channel 103 Nov. 24, and run continuously through the month of December.

The special is a follow-up to the Songs of Praise program that debuted at Easter and which prompted “emotional feedback from millions of viewers,” said David Hill, DIRECTV president of entertainment.
