Award-winning singer/songwriter Russ Lee will be arriving in Okinawa, Japan, this week for a series of concerts and ministry opportunities at U.S. military bases, churches and schools.

During his two-week stay, Lee is scheduled to perform for U.S. Marines and other personnel stationed at Camp Hansen. He also will travel to Kadena Air Force Base, where he will minister in concert as well as during two chapel services. Other performances on the island are also planned.

Okinawa is the largest island of the Ryukyus, in the West Pacific northeast of Taiwan. The island, which covers 454 square miles, has a population of 1.3 million.

In 2003 and 2004, Lee traveled to Iraq where he performed concerts, led Bible studies, and personally interacted with troops. His latest recordings include Pictures on Mantles: The Best of Russ Lee and the Christmas release, Hear Those Bells, both from Vertical Vibe Records.
